CookRight is designed to work without collecting personal information. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.

Camera

CookRight uses your camera to scan food packaging and appliance labels. All image processing happens on your device. Photos are never stored, transmitted, or shared.

Microphone

CookRight uses your microphone for Popcorn Mode, which listens for changes in popping sounds to alert you when cooking is complete. Audio is processed locally in real time and is never recorded or transmitted.

Saved Recipes

Recipes you choose to save are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone.

Appliance Data

When you scan your appliance label or look up a microwave model, the model number and wattage may be contributed anonymously to a shared database that helps improve wattage accuracy for all users. No name, email, location, or device identifier is attached to this data.

No Accounts

CookRight does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information.

No Advertising

CookRight contains no ads and does not share any data with advertising networks or analytics providers.

Children

CookRight does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
